DTH drill truck is a semi hydraulic press truck, that is, except for the impact using compressed air, other functions are achieved through the hydraulic system, so the quality of hydraulic oil is crucial to the normal operation of the hydraulic system.
1. Regularly inspect the hydraulic oil
The plunge drilling vehicle is a semi-hydraulic vehicle. That is to say, except for the impact function which uses compressed air, all other functions are achieved through the hydraulic system. Therefore, the quality of the hydraulic oil is of vital importance for the normal operation of the hydraulic system.
1. Open the hydraulic oil tank and check if the color of the hydraulic oil is clear and transparent. If it has become emulsified or deteriorated, it must be replaced immediately. If the drilling vehicle is used frequently, the hydraulic oil should generally be replaced every six months. Do not mix two types of hydraulic oil!
2. The hydraulic oil used for the drilling vehicle is anti-wear hydraulic oil, which contains antioxidants, rust inhibitors and anti-foaming agents, etc. It can effectively prevent the early wear of hydraulic components such as oil pumps and hydraulic motors. Commonly used anti-wear hydraulic oils include: YB-N32, YB-N46, YB-N68, etc. The larger the subscript number, the higher the kinematic viscosity of the hydraulic oil. Depending on the environmental temperature, in summer, hydraulic oil with higher viscosity such as YB-N46 or YB-N68 is generally used, while in winter, hydraulic oil with lower viscosity such as YB-N32 or YB-N46 is used. Given that some anti-wear hydraulic oils still use old brand numbers for labeling, such as YB-N68 labeled as 40# thickened hydraulic oil, YB-N46 and YB-N32 labeled as 30# and 20#, users must clearly identify the model when purchasing.
II. Regularly clean the fuel tank and the oil filter
The impurities in the hydraulic oil not only cause the hydraulic valves to malfunction, but also accelerate the wear of hydraulic components such as the oil pump and hydraulic motor. Therefore, we have set up an oil suction filter and an oil return filter in the structure to ensure the cleanliness of the circulating oil in the system as much as possible. However, since the hydraulic components will wear out during operation, impurities may accidentally be brought in when adding hydraulic oil. Therefore, regularly cleaning the oil tank and the filter is the key to ensuring the cleanliness of the oil, preventing the hydraulic system from malfunctioning, and prolonging the lifespan of the hydraulic components.
The improved oil suction and filtration device is installed below the oil tank and is connected to the oil pump's suction port. Due to its self-locking function, once the filter element is removed, the oil filter device can automatically close the oil port without any leakage. During cleaning, simply unscrew the filter element and rinse it with clean diesel. The oil suction and filtration device should be cleaned once a month. If the filter element is found to be damaged, it should be replaced immediately!

3. The oil tank is the junction for oil intake and return, and it is also the place where impurities are most likely to accumulate and concentrate. Therefore, it should be cleaned frequently. Every month, the drain plug should be opened to drain some of the oil to flush out the impurities at the bottom. Once every six months, a thorough cleaning should be conducted, and all the oil should be drained (it is best not to use it again or filter it multiple times before using it). After cleaning the oil tank, new hydraulic oil should be added.
III. Timely clean the oil misters and add lubricating oil
The plunge drilling vehicle achieves impact rock drilling through the impactor. Good lubrication is a necessary condition for ensuring the normal operation of the impactor. Due to the presence of moisture in the compressed air and the uncleanliness of the pipeline cleaning, after using it for a period of time, there will often be certain moisture and impurities remaining at the bottom of the oil mist generator. This will affect the lubrication and lifespan of the impactor. Therefore, when it is found that the oil mist generator does not produce oil or there is moisture and impurities in the oil mist generator, it should be removed in time. When adding lubricating oil, the total intake valve must be closed first, then the impact air valve should be opened to discharge the remaining air in the pipeline to avoid causing harm. It is strictly prohibited to operate without lubricating oil!
4. Conduct proper engine warm-up and oil replacement for diesel engines
The diesel engine is the driving force of the entire hydraulic system. It directly affects the climbing ability, propulsion (lifting) force, rotation torque and rock drilling efficiency of the drilling vehicle. Timely maintenance and care are the prerequisites for the drilling vehicle to achieve optimal efficiency.
Before using the new engine or one that has undergone major repair, it is necessary to conduct a running-in process to enhance the reliability and economic lifespan of the diesel engine. The engine should be operated for 50 hours at a speed lower than 70% of the rated speed and a load of 50% of the rated load.
2. After the initial running-in period, the machine should be shut down and the engine oil in the oil pan should be released at a hot temperature. The oil pan and the oil filter screen should be cleaned with diesel. The engine oil and the filter should be replaced.
3. After the break-in period, the engine oil and filter should be replaced every 250 hours of operation.
4. Carefully read the user manual of the diesel engine and perform other maintenance tasks.
