A pair of high-precision primary (male) and secondary (female) rotors are mounted horizontally and parallel in the housing, with the main (male) rotor having 5 teeth and the secondary (female) rotor having 6 teeth. The primary rotor has a large diameter and the secondary rotor has a small diameter. The bucket teeth form a spiral, and the two mesh with each other. The ends of the main and auxiliary rotors are supported by bearings, respectively. During operation, the motor carries the main rotor directly through the coupling (or belt). Since the two rotors mesh with each other, the main rotor directly drives the sub-rotors to rotate together. The coolant is ejected directly from the nozzle in the lower part of the compressor housing into the rotor meshing section and mixed with air to remove the heat generated by compression to achieve a cooling effect. At the same time, a liquid film is formed to prevent direct contact between the metal and the rotor and to close the gap between the rotor and the housing. The injected coolant also reduces noise from high-speed compression.
The main components of the screw air compressor are the screw head and the oil-gas separation cylinder. The screw head is sucked in through a suction filter and an inlet control valve, and oil is injected into an air compression chamber to cool, seal and lubricate the screw and bearings, which produces compressed air. The oil-gas mixture produced after compression is discharged into the oil-gas separation tank, and most of the oil is separated from the oil-gas mixture due to mechanical centrifugal force and gravity. The air passes through an oil-gas separation core made of borosilicate glass fiber, and almost all the oil mist is separated. The oil separated from the oil separation core is returned to the screw head through the return tube. An oil filter is installed on the oil return pipe, and after the oil is filtered through the oil filter, the clean oil flows back into the screw head. When the oil is separated, the compressed air leaves the cylinder and enters the aftercooler through the minimum pressure control valve. The aftercooler cools the compressed air and discharges it into an air tank for use by each gas unit. The condensate is concentrated in the gas tank and discharged by automatic drainage or manually.
The screw air compressor is characterized by the precise match between the rotor and the anode, the rotor and the casing, which reduces the return air leakage and improves the efficiency; Only the mutual meshing of the rotors, without the reciprocating movement of the cylinders, reduces the source of vibration and noise. The unique lubrication method has the following advantages: the coolant is continuously injected into the compression chamber and the bearing by means of a pressure difference generated by itself, simplifying the complex mechanical structure; Injecting coolant can form a liquid film between the rotors, and the auxiliary rotor can directly drive the main rotor without the need for high-precision synchronous gears; The injected coolant can increase the air tightness, reduce the noise generated by high-frequency compression, and absorb a large amount of compression heat. Therefore, even a single-stage compression ratio of 16 can make the exhaust temperature not too high, and the friction between the rotor and the housing will not be caused by the difference in the coefficient of thermal expansion. Therefore, the screw air compressor has small vibration and does not need to be fixed on the foundation by anchor bolts, which has the advantages of low power, low noise, high efficiency, stable exhaust pressure and no wearing parts. The disadvantage of the machine is that the compressed air contains oil, and its oil content is 1~3×10-6. Oil removal devices need to be added to processes that require strict compression of compressed gases. A two-stage degreasing unit was added to the plant's compressed air system. Since the compressed air in the ADC process is in direct contact with the product ADC blowing agent, the air quality is higher and a three-stage degreasing device is added to the ADC process gas.
