First, eliminate the leakage of the hydraulic system

In winter, the seal of the hydraulic system of construction machinery is prone to leakage due to thermal expansion and contraction, especially the installation of O-shaped and rubber rings and other sealing parts after the temperature continues to be lower than 0 °C, oil leakage may occur.

In order to avoid leakage failure of the hydraulic system, the seals of the

hydraulic system should be systematically inspected before entering the winter, and the seals of the leakage part should be replaced in time.

2. Maintain the fuel system

    1. Replace diesel in a timely

manner

After the winter temperature is lower than 0 °C, the viscosity of diesel increases, the fluidity becomes poor, it is easy to wax, atomization and combustion are poor, resulting in the startability, power and economy of diesel engine decrease. In order for the diesel engine to start smoothly in winter, diesel fuel with a lower freezing point should be replaced. When diesel is selected, its freezing point should be 5°C lower than the ambient temperature.

    2. Adjust the advance angle of oil supply

According to the characteristics of winter, the advance angle of diesel engine fuel supply is appropriately adjusted to facilitate the smooth start of diesel engine and reduce the wear and fuel consumption of parts.

    3. Maintain other parts

During maintenance, all filters should be thoroughly cleaned, the fuel filter should be replaced, the sewage of the oil-water separator should be released to clean it, and the working condition of the fuel pump should be checked to eliminate the hidden danger that may cause accidents.

 

Third, change the oil

When winter comes, the viscosity of the oil used in summer increases, the fluidity becomes poor, the friction resistance increases, the

crankshaft rotation resistance becomes larger, the piston and cylinder liner wear increases, the diesel engine is difficult to start, and the power and fuel economy of construction machinery are affected, so when replacing the winter oil with good fluidity, try to use high-quality oil.    It is not easy to oxidize at high temperature, and does not form deposits in the precision parts of the diesel engine, which can greatly extend the life of the diesel engine.
 

Fourth, maintain the cooling system

    1. Check the thermostat and insulation device

If the diesel engine is

often running at low temperatures, it will cause poor fuel atomization, fuel dripping into the cylinder and washing the cylinder wall, which will lead to a decrease in lubricating oil viscosity and aggravated wear of the diesel engine, so the working condition of the thermostat should be checked to prevent the diesel engine water temperature from being too low or too high, and whether the shutter is working well, and if necessary, the radiator and other parts should be equipped with a cold-proof device.   

    2. Disposal of cold diesel engines

In summer, the diesel engine cooled with water, it is best to clean the diesel

engine water jacket with scale cleaning agent to prevent excessive scale accumulation, affecting diesel engine heat, once the radiator is found to have sediment accumulation, it should be removed immediately, and then replace the qualified anti-aging liquid in time to avoid freezing cracking of the cylinder body caused by the sudden flow of the bag.   

    3. Replace and add antifreeze

    If the diesel engine has been using antifreeze, you should check whether the antifreeze in the tank is below the standard mark. The replacement cycle of antifreeze is generally 2 years, and it should be replaced in time when the antifreeze appears turbid, deteriorated, foaming, etc. When replacing the antifreeze, you should choose a long-lasting antifreeze that is 10 ° C lower than the minimum temperature in the area of use, and has antifreeze in winter, anti-boiling in summer, anti-corrosion, and waterproof scale. When adding antifreeze, antifreeze of the same model should be added, and antifreeze should not be mixed.

5. Maintain the braking system

    1. Check and replace the brake fluid

Check whether the fluid level of the brake fluid

tank meets the requirements, and check whether the quality of the brake fluid has deteriorated?    If necessary, it should be added or replaced in time. When replacing the brake fluid, all the original brake fluid must be drained, and then the winter high-quality brake fluid must be injected into the brake system. When changing brake fluid, care must be taken not to mix two different types of brake fluid.

    2. Check the oil-water separator

    The oil-water separator and sewage drain switch in the air path work normally, which can ensure that the water in the brake system pipeline is discharged in time and prevent the freezing failure of the brake pipeline in winter. Therefore, it should be checked whether the oil-water separator and sewage discharge switch are working normally, and if it is not normal, it should be repaired or replaced in time.

    3. Check the braking condition

Check whether the brake

is weakened or mistracked, whether the pedaling force of the brake pedal is normal, and whether the brake does not return to the position, and adjust it if necessary.   

 

6. Maintain electrical equipment

    1. Battery

    Check the battery electrode wiring, if you find that there is green oxide at the electrode connection, rinse it off with boiling water, and blow it with compressed air to the moisture, and then apply a special protective agent to prevent the oxide layer from appearing again, the battery should be charged frequently in winter, in addition, in order to prevent the battery from freezing and affecting the starting performance, the battery can be made and installed in winter to increase the battery temperature.

    2. Starter and generator

    In winter, the diesel engine is difficult to start, and the starter is used frequently. If the power of the starter is insufficient, it will further increase the difficulty of starting the diesel engine. To this end, a thorough maintenance of the starter should be carried out, keeping all parts of the starter clean and dry, and keeping the contact between the brushes and the commutator good.

    3. Preheating device

    For diesel engines with preheating devices, maintenance personnel should inspect and maintain the preheating equipment before entering winter to ensure that the technical condition is good, and check the preheating device circuit and oil circuit at the time point to prevent the starting performance of the diesel engine from being affected by the poor working surface of the circuit and oil circuit.

7. Chassis and other maintenance items

    Check the tightening of chassis bolts and nuts, and check whether the steering system bolts are loose or missing. If loose should be tightened, if missing, should be equipped and tightened, check the lubrication points of the chassis, and add grease to each lubrication point, if there is a leakage in the pipeline on the chassis, it should be solved in time. If the chassis is severely stripped, spray anti-corrosion treatment inspection should be carried out to maintain its effective operation.
